CDL A Linehaul Driver
About The Position
CrossCountry Freight Solutions is seeking safety-conscious Class A Linehaul Drivers to transfer freight to specified locations in a timely manner. Drivers hook and unhook commercial trailers, operate tractor-trailer combinations over long distances, and complete paperwork required by government regulations and company procedures. The role follows a dedicated route from Grand Junction to Denver and back, totaling 506 miles. Drivers are home daily and have weekends off. The shift starts Monday through Friday at 7:00 p.m. Pay is $0.77 for singles and $0.79 for doubles. The position is based in Grand Junction, Colorado, and reports to the Service Center Manager. It has no direct reports.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- At least 21 years of age.
- At least 1 year of commercial driving experience.
- No DUI or DWI convictions in the past 3 years.
- No more than 3 traffic violations in the past 3 years.
- Must have Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or be willing to obtain them.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Hook up and haul trailers between customer and terminal locations as instructed by dispatch or an immediate supervisor.
- Ensure shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies shipments to their delivery points.
- Operate a tractor-trailer combination for extended periods over long distances.
- Hook and unhook commercial vehicle combinations and perform related vehicle and trailer tasks.
