CDL-A Intermodal Driver – $1K Holiday Start Bonus+ Home Weekends
About The Position
This is a dedicated regional intermodal driving role based in Pennsylvania. Drivers haul containers on chassis from Philadelphia-area terminals to Ohio, Western New York, West Virginia, and Central and Western Pennsylvania. Freight is 100% no-touch and handled through drop-and-hook operations. Drivers must have a secure, legal place at home to park their truck and container; limited bobtail parking may be available to drivers living near the port. Drivers average $1,900 weekly and $95,898 annually, with top weekly pay of $2,300 and top annualized pay of $118,117. Pay includes mileage pay and stop pay. Drivers who manage their hours effectively can run approximately 2,100 miles per week. Home time is weekly for a 34-hour reset, usually on weekends but sometimes during the week. Schedules are Sunday–Friday or Monday–Saturday. A $1,000 holiday start bonus is offered.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- At least 6 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
- TWIC card required for hire; drivers may start after applying for the card.
- Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required within 30 days.
- Safe and legal truck-and-container parking arrangement.
- Clean driving record.
- Valid DOT Medical Card.
- SAP drivers are not eligible.
Responsibilities
- Haul containers on chassis on dedicated regional intermodal routes.
