We are hiring recent CDL-A graduates for an Over-the-Road (OTR) dry van position. The training period pays $650 per week, with solo drivers averaging $1,200–$1,800 per week. Drivers are home every two weeks. The pay structure includes training pay, a guaranteed minimum for the first three months solo, and average weekly earnings thereafter. Mileage pay, extra stop pay, and short haul pay are also provided, along with a monthly performance bonus and orientation pay. Drivers are paid weekly. A typical work cycle involves two weeks of driving followed by time at home. The freight is dry van, running from Denver eastward, avoiding the Northeast. Loads can be drop and hook, preloaded, or live. Weekend driving is expected, and holiday work is optional. The path from a new CDL to solo driving involves a short orientation (maximum two days) with covered lodging and reimbursed bus tickets, followed by 3 to 5 weeks (200–250 hours) of mentored training on backing, trip planning, logs, and fueling. After training, drivers are assigned their own truck, typically about 1.5 years old, with either an automatic or 10-speed transmission.
