Drivers based in the Philadelphia area operate established multi-state lanes with steady freight volume and planned load assignments. Dispatch works to coordinate upcoming freight whenever possible, helping limit extended gaps between loads and giving drivers a more organized operating cycle throughout their time on the road. This fleet handles primarily no-touch dry van freight moving through established interstate corridors. A high percentage of loads are drop-and-hook, reducing the amount of time drivers spend waiting at customer locations. Average haul lengths range from approximately 700 to 750 miles, providing longer runs that help drivers build weekly mileage without depending on a large number of short trips. Drivers are assigned 2021 or newer Freightliner and Kenworth tractors with automatic transmissions. Trucks are equipped with APUs, inverters, and refrigerators for added comfort while away from home. Preventative maintenance is scheduled regularly to help reduce equipment-related downtime and keep drivers available for freight. Transportation to orientation, hotel accommodations, and meals are provided. Once on the road, drivers have access to support for dispatch coordination, routing questions, equipment concerns, and other operational needs that may arise during a trip.
