This western fleet hires new drivers directly from CDL school and provides 4 to 6 weeks of on-the-road training with an experienced driver trainer. Training pay is $680 per week. After the trainer signs off, drivers receive their own truck and are guaranteed $1,000 per week for their first three months solo. Drivers haul dry van freight across 11 western states. Runs are normally two days or less, with home time every two weeks. Drivers typically cover 1,700 to 2,100 miles per week, and many loads are drop and hook. Average weekly gross pay is $1,000 to $1,500. Compensation includes mileage pay that increases with each year of experience, a performance bonus of up to 6 cents per mile, and $15 stop pay. Medical, dental, and vision coverage are available after 30 days. The company also offers a 401(k) with company match and paid time off. Orientation pay is $300, and travel to orientation is covered. Riders and pets are allowed after training is complete.
