About The Position

Experienced Class A CDL drivers operate semi-local dry van routes originating from Chicago, Illinois, transporting mattresses and sleep products to customer locations throughout the Midwest and surrounding states. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, weekly home time, and an assigned sleeper-cab tractor. Drivers typically spend approximately 2–4 nights away from home during the workweek and complete a weekly 34-hour reset. Start times are between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM, and weekends are generally at home under the listed schedule. This is a physically demanding, driver-unload position—not no-touch freight. Drivers manually unload mattresses, move freight to the rear of the trailer, and handle repeated loading and unloading activities at customer locations. Equipment includes 53-foot dry van trailers and assigned sleeper-cab tractors, with no slip seating. Assigned trucks must remain at the operating facility during scheduled time off. Average weekly earnings are listed as $1,500–$1,680, with approximate average annual earnings of $87,100. Drivers average approximately 2,500 miles per week, depending on routes and freight volume. Compensation is activity-based and actual earnings are not guaranteed; they depend on mileage, completed stops, qualifying activities, and available freight. The operation averages approximately three loads and 11 delivery stops per week.
