Entry Level CDL-A Driver - Paid Mentor Training
About The Position
Entry-level CDL-A driving position with paid mentor training on Texas-based refrigerated freight lanes. Drivers receive $850 per week during 4 to 6 weeks of training, followed by a guaranteed $1,000 per week for three months after solo dispatch. Average weekly pay is $1,300 to $1,500, with $25 stop pay. Drivers are home about every two weeks once running. Lanes travel from Texas to Tennessee, Illinois, and Georgia, including routes near the Interstate 30 corridor. Freight includes drop-and-hook and live loads. The company uses late-model Freightliners averaging about 1.5 years old. Pets and riders are allowed after training.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- At least 21 years old.
- At least 120 hours of CDL school.
- Trainees are welcome. Experienced drivers need 6 months of OTR experience in the past 12 months or 12 months in the past 5 years.
- No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years and no serious violations in 12 months.
- No major preventable accidents in 5 years.
- No DUI/DWI in the past 5 to 10 years.
- Hair and urine drug testing.
- 3 years of verifiable employment.
