About The Position
Drive a dedicated Target account based in West Jefferson, Ohio, with weekly home time and earning potential of up to $132,036 annually. The position runs a mix of shuttles, full loads, and store deliveries serving downtown Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Drivers travel between West Jefferson and shuttle points in Whitestown and Demotte, Indiana. Freight is carried in preloaded dual-temperature and tri-temperature refrigerated trailers. Most stores unload the freight while drivers observe; some inner-city deliveries require use of a liftgate and pallet jack. Drivers are home 2–3 days per week, including a 34-hour reset. Operations are overnight, currently running approximately 9 PM to noon, with variable shift times. The account operates seven days a week with no set days off. Drivers use modern automatic-transmission trucks and 28-foot and 53-foot trailers. Secure truck parking is permitted. Average pay is $1,860 per week ($96,758 annualized), with top drivers earning up to $2,539 per week ($132,036 annualized). Compensation includes mileage, stop, and detention pay.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- At least 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
- No SAP drivers.
- Clean driving record.
- DOT Medical card.
- Able to work weekends.
- Reliable and safety-focused.
Responsibilities
- Drive a dedicated Target account operating from West Jefferson, Ohio.
- Operate shuttles, full loads, and store-delivery routes serving the Chicago area.
- Deliver freight to downtown Chicago and surrounding suburbs, and travel to shuttle points in Whitestown and Demotte, Indiana.
- Observe store unloading and use a liftgate and pallet jack for some inner-city deliveries.
