This entry-level CDL-A driving role provides 4 to 6 weeks of on-road training with an experienced driver trainer, with training pay of $850 per week. After the trainer signs off, drivers receive their own truck and full pay, plus a guaranteed $1,000 per week for their first 3 months of solo driving. Drivers haul dry van freight across 11 western states, with most runs lasting no more than 2 days. The schedule includes being home every two weeks and driving 1,700 to 2,100 miles per week, with day or night dispatch. Drivers may run beyond the western states if they want more miles. Average weekly gross pay is $1,000 to $1,500, with mileage pay that increases with experience, up to $0.06 per mile in performance bonuses, and $15 stop pay. Medical, dental, and vision coverage is available after 30 days, along with a company-matched 401(k) and paid time off. Orientation includes $300 pay and covered travel. Riders and pets are allowed after training is completed.
