This regional driving role is for new and experienced CDL-A drivers. New drivers complete 4 to 6 weeks of on-the-road training with an experienced driver trainer and receive $650 per week during training. After the trainer signs off, drivers receive their own truck and are guaranteed $1,000 per week for their first three months solo. The regional fleet runs in the eastern part of the country, covering approximately 1,800 to 2,300 miles per week. Drivers are home every two weeks. Freight is mostly drop-and-hook, with some live loads. Average weekly gross pay is $1,000 to $1,500, with mileage pay that increases with experience, $15 stop pay, and a performance bonus plan. Riders and pets are allowed after training is complete.
