About The Position
We are hiring experienced Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) drivers for an account in Smithfield, North Carolina. This semi-local driving role offers consistent routes, no-touch freight, and frequent home time, with one overnight trip per week depending on customer needs. Drivers deliver within a 300-mile radius of Tar Heel, North Carolina, and average 1,500 miles per week. On-site office and maintenance support are available. Average pay is $1,173 per week (approximately $61,036 per year), with top weekly pay of $1,546 (approximately $80,426 per year). Runs up to 189 miles are paid per load, followed by mileage pay. A Safe and On-Time bonus is offered.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- At least 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
- No SAP drivers.
- Clean driving record.
- DOT Medical card.
- Ability to work weekends.
- Reliable and safety-focused.
- Reliable personal transportation to commute to work.
Responsibilities
- Drive semi-local routes and deliver freight within a 300-mile radius of Tar Heel, North Carolina.
- Complete runs averaging 1,500 miles per week.
- Handle no-touch freight.
- Work one overnight trip per week when customer needs require it.
- Work weekends and holidays as required.
