About The Position

This dedicated local truck driving position is based in the Monroe, Ohio (45044) hiring area and hauls dry and refrigerated grocery freight, primarily in Ohio, with runs in Indiana and Kentucky. Drivers travel approximately 1,000–1,500 miles per week and typically handle 3–5 loads and 5–7 stops per day. About 70% of freight is drop-and-hook, while 30% requires driver unloading with an electric pallet jack. Drivers use slip-seat day-cab equipment and return home daily.

Average weekly pay is $1,200, with top weekly pay of $1,500 or more. Mileage pay ranges from $0.56 to $0.62 per mile based on experience, with additional pay for stops, unloads, backhauls, pallet restacks, recovery mileage, and training duties. Trainee ride-alongs are paid at $100 per day for 1–2 days; trainers receive an additional $50 per day on top of route pay.

Drivers have two days off per week, though weekends off are not guaranteed. Start times are around 11 a.m. to noon, and drivers must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Applicants must live within the designated Monroe, Ohio 45044 hiring area.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• At least 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Valid DOT Medical Card.
• Must not be an SAP driver.
• Must live within the Monroe, OH 45044 hiring area.
• Must be able to unload freight using an electric pallet jack.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Haul dedicated dry and refrigerated grocery freight.
