This entry-level CDL-A driving role offers paid, on-the-road training for new drivers and a western dry van fleet assignment afterward. New drivers train with an experienced driver trainer for 4 to 6 weeks and receive $850 per week during training. Once the trainer signs off, drivers receive their own truck and full pay. Solo drivers are guaranteed $1,000 per week for their first three months. Drivers haul dry van freight across 11 western states. Most runs are no more than two days out, and drivers are home every two weeks. Typical weekly mileage is 1,700 to 2,100 miles, with day or night dispatch; drivers may also choose to run beyond the western states. Average weekly gross pay is $1,000 to $1,500, with mileage pay that increases with experience, performance bonuses of up to 6 cents per mile, and $15 stop pay. Medical, dental, and vision coverage are available after 30 days, along with a 401(k) with company match and paid time off. Orientation pay is $300, and travel to orientation is covered. Riders and pets are allowed after training is complete.
