About The Position
Drive a dedicated regional dry van account for Dollar Tree based in the Joliet, Illinois area. The role pays an average of $1,850 per week, with top weekly earnings of $2,000, and includes mileage pay, unload pay, and backhaul pay. Drivers typically cover approximately 970 miles per week and make around three turns weekly, with three to five stops per load. Delivery territory includes Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, Indiana, and Northern Kentucky. Drivers unload dry freight using rollers and operate automatic sleeper trucks pulling 53-foot dry van trailers. The schedule provides weekly home time with a 34-hour reset, typically Saturday–Sunday or Sunday–Monday. Available schedules are Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday, depending on location. Drivers may park the truck at home if they have a safe, secure, and authorized location.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- At least 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
- Clean driving record.
- Valid DOT Medical Card.
- Ability to safely unload freight using rollers.
- If taking the truck home, a safe, secure, authorized place to park it.
- Drivers with SAP status are not eligible.
Responsibilities
