About The Position

This is a CDL-A Driver position for new drivers in the Coastal Bend area, including Robstown, Calallen, Banquete, Bishop, and west Corpus Christi. No prior experience is required, only a Class A CDL, a decent driving record, and a willingness to learn. The role involves paid training, including a 2-day orientation with covered lodging and reimbursed bus ticket, followed by 3-5 weeks of mentored driving at $650 per week. Upon going solo, drivers join a regional fleet based in Houston, hauling freight through Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee, with occasional loads to Alabama, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, and Illinois. Drivers are home every 2 weeks. The position offers an average weekly earning of $1,100–$1,300 ($57,200–$67,600 annually), with a guaranteed minimum of $1,000 per week for the first 3 months after solo dispatch. Additional compensation includes bonuses for miles, fuel, and safety, and $15 for each extra stop beyond the first and last. Drivers will operate assigned Freightliner trucks, averaging 1.5 years old, with automatic or 10-speed transmissions, and most equipped with an APU or inverter.
