About The Position

This role is responsible for transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste between Reworld facilities and customer locations. It requires operating multiple types of commercial equipment, often within the same shift, while maintaining strict compliance with DOT regulations and Reworld safety standards. Drivers may be assigned home daily or regional routes based on operational needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum age of 21
  • Valid CDL Class A
  • At least 2 years of CDL driving experience
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Ability to safely handle hazardous and non hazardous materials
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules

Nice To Haves

  • Hazmat endorsement preferred but not required
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience with roll off trucks, end dumps, walking floor trailers, or waste operations
  • Mechanical aptitude

Responsibilities

  • Operate Class A commercial vehicles to safely transport materials in accordance with DOT regulations and company procedures
  • Operate specialized vehicle equipment including pumps, wet kits, vac kits, and PTO pumps as required
  • Perform pre trip and post trip inspections of vehicles and equipment
  • Complete required documentation including manifests, bills of lading, medical waste tracking, logs, delivery receipts, inspections, and incident reports
  • Ensure vehicles are properly placarded per DOT requirements
  • Communicate clearly with dispatch, customers, and other drivers regarding routes, deliveries, and delays
  • Maintain safe operations to protect employees, customers, contractors, and the public
  • Follow written and verbal route directions and use maps as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operations
