About The Position

Sysco is hiring dependable local CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer and manually unload and deliver products—including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies—to customers on assigned routes. Drivers build customer relationships through a positive, friendly attitude and learn customers’ operations to meet their needs and expectations. Most Driver Trainees have daily routes and are home nightly. Training pay is $29.60 per hour; after training, pay is $39.00 per hour. Overtime may be required, and work on weekends and holidays may be needed based on business needs.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) and a clean driving record.
Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
Must be able to handle touch freight, including repeatedly lifting, pushing, or moving products averaging 40–60 pounds and weighing up to 100 pounds.
Must be flexible to work overtime as required and weekends and holidays as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

One year of customer delivery experience preferred.
Six months of hand cart or hand truck experience preferred.
Six months of food and beverage experience preferred.
Two years of consistent work history preferred.
