About The Position

Gordon Food Service is hiring a local CDL A Delivery Driver in Piqua, Ohio. The driver safely operates a Class A commercial vehicle, delivers food products, and represents the company at customer locations. Approximately 80% of the role focuses on customer service and relationship building with restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and other foodservice partners. Drivers unload products using a two-wheel cart and ramp, with cases weighing up to 100 pounds, and complete deliveries accurately and efficiently while maintaining a positive customer experience. Routes are local, and drivers are home every day. Training and support are provided for experienced and newly licensed drivers.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, with a 5:00 AM start time and work continuing until route completion. Compensation is $75,000–$85,000 annually, with a guaranteed minimum of $1,100 per week. Pay includes a daily base plus component pay for miles driven, stops completed, and cases delivered.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A CDL at the time of hire.
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads up to 350 pounds.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds throughout the shift.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English to safely perform job duties.
• Successfully pass a DOT drug screen, including marijuana, and a background check.
• Clean driving record that meets DOT and Gordon Food Service standards.
• Registered with the DOT Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse and able to provide electronic consent.
• Passion for providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Friendly, professional attitude and customer-first mindset.
• Ability to work independently while representing Gordon Food Service.
