About The Position

Gordon Food Service is hiring a local CDL A Delivery Driver in Piqua, Ohio. The role combines safe operation of a Class A commercial vehicle with customer service and relationship building; approximately 80% of the position focuses on serving customers. Drivers deliver food products to restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and other foodservice partners, representing Gordon Food Service at each stop and working to ensure accurate deliveries and customer satisfaction. Routes are local, with drivers home every day. The company provides training and support for experienced and newly licensed drivers.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, starting at 5:00 AM and continuing until route completion. Compensation is $75,000–$85,000 annually, with a guaranteed minimum of $1,100 per week. Pay includes a daily base plus component pay for each mile driven, stop completed, and case delivered.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A CDL at the time of hire.
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads up to 350 pounds.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds throughout the shift.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English to safely perform job duties.
• Successfully pass a DOT drug screen, including marijuana, and a background check.
• Clean driving record meeting DOT and Gordon Food Service standards.
• Registered with the DOT Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse and able to provide electronic consent.
• Passion for providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Friendly, professional attitude and customer-first mindset.
• Ability to work independently while representing Gordon Food Service.

Responsibilities
