About The Position

Sysco is hiring dependable local CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer and manually unload and deliver products—including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies—to customer locations on assigned routes. Drivers build customer relationships through a positive, friendly attitude and learn customers’ operations to meet their needs and expectations. Most Driver Trainees have daily routes and are home nightly. The listed base pay rate is $31.50, with bonus and incentive pay, and the posting advertises a $1,500 sign-on bonus. The pay range is not guaranteed and may depend on skills, location, work experience, and other individualized factors.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Pass employment testing.
Have a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) and a driving record that meets company insurability standards.
Be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
Be able to handle touch freight, including repeatedly lifting, pushing, or moving products averaging 40–60 pounds and weighing as much as 100 pounds.
Have flexibility to work overtime as required and weekends and holidays as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

One year of customer delivery experience.
Six months of hand cart or hand truck experience.
Six months of food and beverage experience.
Two years of consistent work history.
