About The Position

This dedicated flatbed driving position offers consistent freight hauling stainless steel coils and flat sheets primarily originating near Calvert, Alabama. Drivers will also handle planned backhaul loads of lumber, insulation, and other flatbed commodities to minimize empty miles and ensure efficient positioning. The role involves approximately 75% of outbound loads requiring tarping with provided six-foot drop tarps. Drivers will be assigned a newer-model Kenworth T680 tractor paired with a 2025 Extreme 48-foot flatbed trailer equipped with 12 winches, straps, and two tarps.

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license required
• Minimum one year OTR experience within the last five years
• Minimum six months flatbed experience required
• Steel-hauling experience required
• Current coil-hauling certification required
• Tarping and load-securement experience required
• Acceptable driving record required

Responsibilities

• Haul dedicated stainless-steel freight, including smaller stainless-steel coils and flat stainless-steel sheets.
• Perform live loading and unloading.
• Tarp approximately 75% of outbound loads using provided six-foot drop tarps.
• Haul backhaul loads such as lumber, insulation, and other flatbed commodities.
• Ensure truck productivity and efficient positioning through planned backhauls.
• Maintain assigned newer-model Kenworth T680 tractor and 2025 Extreme 48-foot flatbed trailer.
