CDL-A Dedicated Flatbed Driver
About The Position
This dedicated account offers experienced flatbed drivers a consistent freight cycle focused on hauling stainless steel. Outbound customer freight originates near Calvert, Alabama, with planned backhaul opportunities to ensure productive miles and return drivers towards their next dedicated load. Drivers will haul smaller stainless-steel coils and flat stainless-steel sheets, with approximately 75% of loads requiring tarping. Drivers are assigned newer Kenworth T680 tractors and 2025 Extreme 48-foot flatbed trailers equipped for securement. Home time is provided every weekend with a 34-hour reset.
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A license
- Minimum one year OTR experience within the last five years
- Minimum six months flatbed experience
- Steel-hauling experience
- Current coil-hauling certification
- Tarping and load-securement experience
- Acceptable driving record
Responsibilities
- Haul dedicated stainless-steel flatbed freight, including smaller stainless-steel coils and flat stainless-steel sheets.
- Perform live loading and unloading of freight.
- Tarp approximately 75% of loads using provided drop tarps.
- Secure loads using provided straps and winches.
- Transport return freight such as lumber, insulation, or other flatbed commodities.
- Operate a Kenworth T680 tractor and a 2025 Extreme flatbed trailer.
