About The Position
This dedicated flatbed driving position offers consistent stainless-steel freight and dependable home time. Drivers will haul stainless-steel coils and flat sheets originating near Calvert, Alabama. Approximately 75% of these loads require tarping. The freight cycle is designed to keep the truck loaded and moving efficiently, with backhaul freight available to minimize empty miles. Drivers will operate a newer-model Kenworth T680 tractor and a 2025 Extreme 48-foot flatbed trailer equipped with necessary securement tools.
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A license required
- Minimum one year OTR experience within the last five years
- Minimum six months flatbed experience required
- Steel-hauling experience required
- Current coil-hauling certification required
- Tarping and load-securement experience required
- Acceptable driving record required
Responsibilities
- Haul dedicated stainless-steel customer freight.
- Perform live loading and live unloading.
- Tarp approximately 75% of loads.
- Secure loads using winches and straps.
- Operate a newer-model Kenworth T680 tractor and a 2025 Extreme 48-foot flatbed trailer.
