About The Position

Sysco is hiring dependable CDL A Backhaul Delivery Truck Drivers to safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer and transport doubles, and potentially triples, between a Sysco facility and shuttle yards. Drivers build relationships with customers through positive, friendly interactions and become familiar with their operations to meet their needs and expectations. Drivers may also be required to unload and deliver various products on an assigned route schedule. Most drivers are home daily.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Pass employment screening.
• Be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
• Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL).
• Have a driving record that meets Company insurability standards.
• Be able to handle touch freight, including lifting, pushing, or moving products weighing an average of 40–60 pounds and up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer.
• Transport doubles, and potentially triples, between a Sysco facility and shuttle yards.
• Build positive relationships with customers and become familiar with their operations and expectations.
• Unload and deliver various products on an assigned route schedule when required.
