About The Position

The University of Arkansas System is seeking a 9-month Faculty member for the Workforce Training Department at Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA). PCCUA is a multi-campus, two-year college serving Eastern Arkansas with academic, occupational/technical, and continuing education programs. This role is responsible for training and evaluating student drivers to become licensed commercial drivers. The position requires flexible hours to meet student driving demands and may involve travel to other campuses and CDL testing sites. Faculty are expected to attend and conduct all scheduled classes, post and maintain office hours, and work 30 hours a week. Course rosters and records management will be handled in Workday.

Requirements

CDL certification required
Must be able to work flexible hours to meet student driving demands.
Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

Additional endorsements preferred.
Experience teaching students to drive
Five years of driving experience.

Responsibilities

Responsible for training and evaluating student drivers to become licensed commercial drivers.
Attend and conduct all scheduled classes, prepared to engage students in learning experiences.
Post and maintain consistent office hours and work 30 hours a week, for 9-month faculty.
Additional hours may be required for division and institutional meetings.
Maintain course rosters and records management in Workday.
Additional duties may require travel to other campuses as well as CDL testing sites.
