About The Position

Cardinal Civil Contracting, a heavy civil and site development contractor and part of Cardinal Infrastructure Group, is hiring a CCTV Pipeline Camera Operator to inspect underground sanitary sewer, stormwater, and drainage pipelines with closed-circuit television equipment. The operator identifies and documents defects, blockages, leaks, and structural issues, and shares findings with construction crews to support repairs. The role also involves driving and maintaining the CCTV truck and equipment, performing related manual labor, and following safety requirements at construction sites and roadways. This is a full-time position requiring 50–60 hours per week, with occasional Saturday work. Periodic travel may be required. Work takes place at active construction sites and roadways, including work zones near traffic and confined spaces, and involves outdoor weather in all conditions, noise, dust, and moving equipment. Required PPE is provided and must be worn on all sites.

Requirements

Prior experience operating a pipeline inspection camera.
Experience with CCTV pipeline inspection equipment is preferred, as stated in the qualifications.
Demonstrated strong work ethic, integrity, and honesty.
Strong attention to detail; self-motivated and able to work independently.
Basic computer skills or proficiency.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform minor repairs.
Organizational and time-management skills; ability to meet deadlines.
Team-oriented and motivated, with leadership ability.
Valid driver’s license and a clean or good driving record.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb in and out of the truck; repeatedly lift and carry 50–75 pounds; and operate hand tools and inspection equipment.

Nice To Haves

NASSCO certification (PACP/MACP).
IBAK software experience.
Knowledge of underground utility systems.
Experience with CCTV pipeline inspection equipment.

Responsibilities

Operate CCTV camera systems to inspect sanitary sewer, stormwater, and drainage pipelines.
Perform pre- and post-cleaning pipeline inspections.
Identify and document defects, cracks, offsets, collapses, and other pipeline conditions.
Record video inspections and prepare accurate reports using industry software.
Communicate inspection findings to construction crews to support repairs.
Drive the CCTV truck and operate the camera throughout the day.
Maintain and troubleshoot CCTV inspection equipment; perform minor repairs as needed.
Keep the truck clean and complete regular weekly maintenance.
Perform manual labor, including lifting storm box grates and sewer manhole lids.
Model and enforce Cardinal’s safety program and follow confined-space and traffic-control procedures on every inspection.
Comply with company policies, OSHA regulations, and applicable DOT requirements.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
