Pipeline CCTV Camera Operator
About The Position
The Pipeline CCTV Camera Operator operates remote cameras to record pipeline interiors for inspection, determine whether cleaning is needed and what type, and assess whether pipelines are candidates for lining. The role also supports sewer maintenance, inspection, and rehabilitation tasks, including pipeline repair, jetting, cabling, clean-out installation, and manhole and lift-station work. The operator maintains equipment, stores footage, monitors surveillance, and sets up and takes down street traffic control. The position is full-time and non-exempt. Work is typically Monday through Friday, but may include shifts, weekends, evenings, and holidays; flexibility is required as job duties demand. The stated salary range is $25.00–$35.00, depending on qualifications and other factors.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience with water, sewer, televising, jetting, or CIPP construction.
- General knowledge of closed-video camera equipment and high-pressure sewer-cleaning equipment.
- Strong knowledge of plans and specifications.
- Proficiency with lasers, line, and grade.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- General knowledge of occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, evenings, and holidays as job duties demand.

- PACP, MACP, or LACP certification.
Responsibilities
- Operate remote CCTV cameras to record pipeline interiors for inspection and evaluate cleaning needs and suitability for lining.
- Perform jetting, cabling, and clean-out installation.
- Locate manholes using a map.
- Perform miscellaneous related duties and special projects as assigned.
- Operate and maintain equipment.
- Support sewer maintenance, inspection, and pipeline rehabilitation tasks.
- Repair pipelines using a specified product and process.
- Supervise and participate in jetting sewer lines and vactoring manholes and lift stations.
- Set up and take down street traffic control.
- Store footage.
- Watch surveillance.
