This position requires a good working knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and storage procedures. The role involves computer operation, office equipment, and understanding aviation tools, supplies, and logistics systems. A key aspect is the ability to comprehend and interpret supply and aircraft publications in both written and electronic formats, as well as knowledge of FAR Part 45 and 52 relevant to responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be customer-oriented, customer-focused, and possess a professional attitude. Responsibilities include preparing, receiving, inspecting, inventorying, loading, unloading, transporting, segregating, routing, storing, stocking, issuing, turning-in, shipping, and delivering property in a timely manner. This involves comparing various documents for accuracy, inspecting and tagging shipments, updating records using data processing equipment, and coordinating with relevant personnel for timely transfers. The role also includes issuing, documenting, shipping, delivering, or transferring property, utilizing DRMO procedures, and managing hazardous waste, sensitive, classified, and controlled items. Preparing appropriate containers, determining shipment methods in compliance with regulations, and maintaining records are also crucial. The technician will perform functional checks and inspections of equipment, process BER and repairable components, create requisitions, research lateral support, and interpret parts breakdowns. Logistics driver duties may be required, along with maintaining a clean work area and performing other logistics-related tasks. Maintaining high ethical standards and assisting with other projects are expected. Experience in automated inventory control, parts, materials, equipment, and property management is necessary. A high school diploma or equivalent, formal military or civilian training, and thorough knowledge of property transfer procedures, military property accountability, and the military/government supply system are required. The ability to read and interpret technical manuals, directives, and data, along with basic arithmetic skills and familiarity with general office procedures and Microsoft Word/Excel, is essential. Strong communication skills, the ability to plan and prioritize work independently, and a courteous, professional demeanor when interacting with customers and employees are necessary. Meeting government/company licensing/qualification requirements and obtaining/maintaining a DoD security clearance are mandatory. The role may require working weekends, other shifts, and overtime. Some travel may be required, and adherence to company policies and confidentiality is expected.
