About The Position

This position is responsible for processing Medicaid correspondence received through various channels, including US Postal Service, fax, and designated email boxes. The role involves scanning and associating metadata, and accepting documents into the Enterprise Document Management System (EDMS). Additionally, the position requires uploading appeals documentation, associating it with client cases in LaMEDS, and entering descriptive case notes into the EDMS. The coordinator may also notify Medicaid Analysts and CAU staff of necessary actions, communicate issues to their supervisor, and update the Master Chart based on email communications. Responsibilities may extend to attending DAL Hearings, completing untimely appeal packets, clearing the Weekly DAL Docket, and communicating directly with DAL to resolve issues on docketed appeals. Other tasks may be assigned as directed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or an Associate's degree plus 3 years of professional experience, or 6 years of professional experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum 1 year professional experience performing administrative functions within an office environment or health care field.
  • Excellent analytical skills.

  • Team and goal oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Process Medicaid correspondence sent through the US Postal Service, fax or designated Medicaid email boxes.
  • Scan and associate metadata, and accept into the Enterprise Document Management System (EDMS).
  • Upload appeals documentation received and associating with client’s case in LaMEDS.
  • Enter descriptive case notes into the EDMS based on documentation received.
  • Notify Medicaid Analysts and CAU staff of actions which need to be taken.
  • Communicate issues and pertinent information to supervisor as necessary through written and verbal communication.
  • Receive email communication documenting case information and will utilize information to update the Master Chart.
  • Attend DAL Hearings and complete untimely appeal packets.
  • Clear the Weekly DAL Docket.
  • Communicate directly with DAL to clear issues on docketed appeals.
  • Perform other tasks as directed.
