About The Position
Under the general direction of a physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), the Cath Lab Technician assists with procedures by scrubbing or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures in the cardiovascular lab. The technician prepares procedure rooms, monitors instrument and supply levels, participates in staff meetings and performance-improvement activities, and helps train new staff. The role assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
Requirements
- ARRT-R certification and state-required license, or Certified Cardiovascular Technologist (CCT), or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
- BCLS (AHA) certification required upon hire and must be maintained.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Proficient computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab.
- Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring.
Responsibilities
