About The Position

Under the general direction of a physician (Cardiologist or Radiologist), the Cath Lab / IR Tech assists with procedures by scrubbing and/or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. The position is certified to operate fluoroscopy/pan with a Fluoro CA license addendum. The technologist ensures the procedure room is adequately prepared, monitors par levels of instruments and supplies, and supports departmental meetings, performance improvement activities, and training of new staff. The role assists with invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures, prepares the power injector and contrast medium, and injects contrast while monitoring injector rates and the quantity administered.

Requirements

ARRT-R certification and licenses required by the state.
BCLS (AHA) certification required upon hire and must be maintained as current.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
Proficient computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab and/or Interventional Radiology.
Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring.

Responsibilities
