About The Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position. The role involves setting up tables, attending to guest needs, serving food, bussing dishes, performing cleaning tasks, maintaining safety and cleanliness standards, adhering to grooming standards, maintaining positive guest relations, and providing exceptional customer service. Availability is needed for weekends and evenings, with a flexible schedule that can be arranged.

Requirements

  • Ability to stand for 3–4 hours
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle and prepare meat products in a commercial kitchen
  • Compliance with all food safety and sanitation requirements including taking out jewelry and wearing a hairnet.
  • Must be available to work during day hours as well as nights & weekends
  • Able to move up to 45 lbs.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be an UND student
  • Must be eligible to work in the US and complete employment eligibility verification form
  • Must not require visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Set-up the tables, lay table linens, chairs, silverware, centerpieces, glassware etc., as assigned
  • Attend to the guest’s needs and requests
  • Server must have knowledge on what food he or she is serving in the case of a guest asking
  • Promptly bus dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal
  • Perform cleaning tasks and breakdown of service, including washing and putting away dishes
  • Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards
  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our guests
  • Availability needed for weekends and evenings, flexible schedule can be arranged
