Pier Sixty-Six Resort is looking for a seasoned, eager, and enthusiastic Catering Sales Manager to join the team.

Requirements

  • 2- 3 years previous Catering Sales in a luxury Resort preferred.
  • Strong PC skills including Excel, Word and financial accounting systems.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively soliciting and handling catering sales opportunities.
  • Ensuring business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for proper service delivery.
  • Conducting day-to-day activities related to catering sales with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of sales objectives.
  • Achieving personal sales goals.
  • Proactively building and strengthening relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities could include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
  • Developing relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities.
  • Managing and developing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Providing accurate, complete and effective turnover to Event Management.
  • Researching and developing new leads for catering business.
  • Participating in catering sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business.
  • Upselling each business opportunity to maximize revenue potential.
  • Executing and supporting the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).
  • Identifying new business to achieve personal and location revenue goals.
  • Understanding the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knowing how to sell against them.
  • Closing the best opportunities for the location based on market conditions and location needs.
  • Gaining understanding of the location’s primary target customer and service expectations; serving the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solution.
  • Executing brand’s Customer Service Standards and property’s Brand Standards.
  • Setting a positive example for guest relations.
  • Interacting with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
