About The Position

Ian's Pizza is seeking a full-time Catering Manager to lead their catering team in Madison, WI. This role involves managing the catering squad, ensuring smooth service, and maintaining the "Ian's" vibe. The manager will work with the GM and AGM to provide training, tools, and support to the team. A significant part of the role includes training and developing staff, providing feedback, and conducting quarterly reviews. Behind-the-scenes tasks include attending manager meetings, responding to messages, undertaking special projects, and collaborating with leadership to ensure departmental efficiency.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience as a Supervisor or Shift Leader in the food and beverage industry.
  • Specific experience in Catering is required.
  • Embrace and embody the 2030 Vision, Company Values, Standards for Customer Service, Food Quality, and the Big Five.
  • Must complete a food safety certification course within 6 months.
  • Able to stand and walk for long periods; and to bend, crouch, and lift up to 30 lbs regularly, up to 50lbs on occasion.
  • Able to use equipment of the business and in environments with temperature changes (sharp knives, hot ovens, cold walk-in coolers, etc.).
  • Reliable transportation to and from the restaurant for a variety of shift times, including mornings, afternoons, and nights.
  • Able to comfortably drive a box truck at varying hours of the day and to various locations, including using the highway.
  • Weekend and evening availability is a must.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish is a major plus!

Responsibilities

  • Lead the catering squad as its manager.
  • Keep the energy high, the service smooth, and the vibe unmistakably Ian's.
  • Work with the GM and AGM to ensure the crew has the training, tools, and support they need.
  • Train and develop the catering team.
  • Act as the lead trainer for catering, showing staff the ropes, giving helpful feedback, and running quarterly reviews.
  • Attend manager meetings.
  • Respond to messages.
  • Tackle special projects.
  • Work with leadership to make the catering department run well.
  • Handle emergencies and jump in when coverage is needed.
  • Manage events all over the Madison area.
