About The Position

Catering Event Staff at American Dining Creations provide customer service through the preparation, transportation, and execution of catering events. The role includes food preparation and service, organizing supplies, setting up and maintaining event spaces, and breaking them down afterward. Staff respond to guest needs with a professional and hospitable demeanor. The position is based in Leawood, Kansas. Pay varies by location.

Requirements

Must be knowledgeable about, or able to learn, current food health and safety regulations.
Must be reliable, organized, and efficient, work well in fast-paced environments, and have strong communication skills.
Must follow dress-code guidelines in a manner that reflects professionalism and competence.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds; push and pull heavy catering carts; bend; climb stairs; and stand and walk for the entire scheduled shift.

Nice To Haves

Prior work history in catering, food preparation, food service, or customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up dining and event areas according to the catering manager’s instructions.
Ensure tableware, place settings, serving pieces, and decorations are clean and available before each event.
Prepare food, including washing, peeling, and cutting produce; seasoning and slicing meats; and preparing sauces and salads.
Load and unload food, tableware, and catering supplies on and off catering vehicles and carts.
Set up tabletop place settings, including utensils, glasses, and plates.
Clean and store catering equipment, including chafing dishes, tableware, and platters, after each event.
Answer guests’ catering-related questions and address their concerns or requests during events.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
