About The Position

The Catering Driver supports banquet and catering operations by helping ensure catering offerings meet guest expectations. The role contributes to the department’s sales efforts and provides attentive service to guests and customers. It requires organization, attention to detail, clear communication, composure in pressure situations, and a focus on safety and food safety.

Requirements

• 0 to 6 months of experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent, plus 18 months to 3 years of additional training.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to think clearly and remain calm in pressure situations.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in single-unit catering, convention center, or hotel banquet business.
• Hotel and catering experience.
• Sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure communications from the sales team are performed and executed at a high level.
• Ensure proper food safety programs are followed.
• Respond to telephone and walk-in inquiries, determine guests’ needs and specifications, and refer them to the Catering Manager.
• Handle event bookings from initial contact through event completion, with attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• Produce and distribute contracts, and complete catering paperwork, menus, and correspondence.
• Handle post-event written correspondence.
• Attend client site visits, tastings, and events to assist with execution when requested by the manager.
• Support the department’s sales efforts, with emphasis on the catering segment.
• Maintain safety as the top priority for team members, guests, and products.
