About The Position

The Catering & Conference Service Manager is responsible for selling and servicing catering accounts, entertaining and maintaining relationships with existing accounts to meet and/or exceed food and beverage revenue goals. This role involves overseeing client functions to ensure customer satisfaction and providing conference services for most in-house groups, conferences, and meetings. The manager will also work collaboratively with other hotel departments to deliver quality service. The position is full-time and exempt, reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing. Requirements

  • Excellent written, spoken, and presentation skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations
  • Fully knowledgeable of the capabilities and limitations of the hotel and departments that may impact sales strategies
  • Exceptional mathematical and computer skills
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends, as needed
  • Two to three years of progressive experience in full-service hotel environment
  • High school education and relevant training and experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions
  • Previous sales experience
  • Food and Beverage knowledge
  • Detail oriented and highly organized

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for selling and servicing catering accounts
  • Entertain and maintain relationships with existing accounts to meet and/or exceed food and beverage revenue goals
  • Oversee client functions to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Provide conference services for most in-house groups, conferences and meetings
  • Work with other departments within the hotel to provide quality service
  • Achieve budgeted revenues and expenses and maximize profitability related to the sales department
  • Maintain and correct procedures for credit control, financial transactions, and security of financial assets
  • Promptly respond to and resolve client requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner
  • Any other duties as assigned by an immediate supervisor
