About The Position
The Catering Associate supports the Prepared Foods department by preparing food, maintaining a safe and organized work area, helping with inventory and ordering, and providing fast, friendly customer service. This is a seasonal opportunity that runs approximately from November through late December. Permanent roles may be available after the season based on business needs and individual performance. The role involves preparing and organizing food for catering orders, delivering orders to designated pickup or service areas, and following food safety, sanitation, and quality standards. Associates also support department merchandising and marketing strategies and collaborate with team members to help the department run smoothly.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Experience providing excellent customer service.
- Enjoy cooking and preparing food.
- Take pride in work, whether the task is big or small.
- Ability to adapt to varying work environments, including freezers, refrigerators, and food preparation areas.
- Value teamwork and being part of the community.
Responsibilities
- Prepare vegetables, salads, cold items, meat, and other catering selections.
- Pack and organize food for catering orders, ensuring each order is complete and ready on time.
- Run food and catering orders to designated pickup or service areas.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
- Keep preparation and work areas clean, neat, and well organized.
- Monitor inventory and help place orders for supplies and ingredients.
- Support current merchandising and marketing strategies throughout the department.
- Engage customers and provide fast, friendly, helpful service.
- Collaborate with team members to keep the department running smoothly.
