Catalysis and Spectroscopy Research Internship - Summer 2027

Idaho National Laboratory•Idaho Falls, ID
•Onsite

About The Position

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a motivated intern to support its Transient Kinetic Analysis team. The intern will operate catalysts under agile conditions that ramp and cut back with variable energy prices, and conduct mechanistic studies of catalysts under various reaction conditions. The project focuses on operando spectroscopic studies of a methanol synthesis catalyst, using techniques such as diffuse reflectance, Raman, and photoluminescence. The team works an onsite 9x80 schedule at the Idaho Falls campus. The internship start date and duration vary based on the project and the student's availability. This is a multi-level internship posting; placement at the appropriate level depends on degree field and level of education.
