About The Position
The Comforted Kitty is seeking reliable, responsible cat lovers for a part-time, independent contractor position as an in-home cat sitter in the San Diego County Area. This role offers flexibility, allowing you to set your own availability and service area. You will be matched with clients needing cat care while they are away. This is an ideal opportunity for individuals who enjoy independent work, have a passion for cats, and want to provide peace of mind to pet parents while building relationships with repeat clients.
Requirements
- Experienced with cat care, especially in a pet sitting capacity
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Strong written communication
- Comfortable working independently in clients’ homes
- Smartphone with reliable internet & camera
- Medication experience (oral, injections, fluids)
- Holiday & weekend availability
Responsibilities
- Feeding cats and refreshing water
- Cleaning litter boxes
- Giving playtime, affection, or companionship based on each cat’s personality
- Sending visit updates and photos through our app
- Following each client’s detailed care instructions
- Bringing in mail or packages
- Adjusting lights, blinds, or trash/recycling when requested
- Administering medication when within your experience and comfort level
