About The Position
The Comforted Kitty is seeking reliable, responsible cat lovers for a part-time, independent contractor position as an in-home cat sitter in the Round Rock / Austin Metro Area. This role offers flexibility, allowing sitters to set their own availability and service area. It's ideal for individuals who enjoy independent work, caring for cats, and providing peace of mind to pet parents. The position involves building trust with repeat clients and performing various care tasks during client absences.
Requirements
- Experienced with cat care, especially in a pet sitting capacity
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Strong written communication
- Comfortable working independently in clients’ homes
- Smartphone with reliable internet & camera
- Medication experience (oral, injections, fluids)
- Holiday & weekend availability
Responsibilities
- Feeding cats and refreshing water
- Cleaning litter boxes
- Giving playtime, affection, or companionship based on each cat’s personality
- Sending visit updates and photos through our app
- Following each client’s detailed care instructions
- Bringing in mail or packages
- Adjusting lights, blinds, or trash/recycling when requested
- Administering medication when within your experience and comfort level
