About The Position

The Comforted Kitty is seeking reliable, responsible cat lovers for a part-time, independent contractor role as an in-home cat sitter in the Oakland / SF East Bay Area Metro. This flexible position allows you to set your availability and service area, and you will be matched with clients. It's ideal for individuals who enjoy independent work caring for cats, providing peace of mind to traveling pet parents, and building relationships with repeat clients.

Requirements

• Experienced with cat care, especially in a pet sitting capacity
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Strong written communication
• Comfortable working independently in clients’ homes
• Smartphone with reliable internet & camera
• Medication experience (oral, injections, fluids)
• Holiday & weekend availability

Responsibilities

• Feeding cats and refreshing water
• Cleaning litter boxes
• Giving playtime, affection, or companionship based on each cat’s personality
• Sending visit updates and photos through our app
• Following each client’s detailed care instructions
• Bringing in mail or packages
• Adjusting lights, blinds, or trash/recycling when requested
• Administering medication when within your experience and comfort level
