About The Position
The Comforted Kitty is seeking reliable, responsible cat lovers for a part-time, independent contractor position as an in-home cat sitter in the Richmond, CA area. This role offers flexibility, allowing you to set your availability and service area. You will be matched with clients needing cat care while they are away. Requirements
- Experience with cat care, particularly in a pet-sitting capacity
- Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail
- Strong written communication skills
- Comfort working independently in clients' homes
- Smartphone with reliable internet and camera
- Experience administering medication (oral, injections, fluids)
- Availability on weekends and holidays
Responsibilities
- Feeding cats and refreshing water
- Cleaning litter boxes
- Providing playtime, affection, or companionship tailored to each cat's personality
- Sending visit updates and photos via an app
- Adhering to detailed client care instructions
- Collecting mail or packages
- Adjusting lights, blinds, or managing trash/recycling as requested
- Administering medication if within your experience and comfort level
