About The Position
The Chignecto-Central Regional Centre for Education invites applications for BUS DRIVERS for the Chignecto-Central Regional Centre for Education encompassing Colchester, East Hants, Pictou, and Cumberland Counties (Cobequid, Celtic, Nova and Chignecto Families of Schools). Type of Positions available:-Casual as needed basis, with no guaranteed hours of workRun times vary by location, but start and end fall within the following times:-Morning pick-up and drop-off of students: 6:30am to 9:30am approximately-Afternoon pick-up and drop-off of students: 1:45pm to 4:45pm approximately
Requirements
- Minimum of Grade 12 high school diploma or academic equivalent through educational programs such as a Graduated Equivalent Diploma (GED)
- Valid driver's license, Class 2B with Air Certification
- Satisfactory Driver Abstract (obtained from the Registry of Motor Vehicles), as applicable
Nice To Haves
- Successful completion of the Driver Training Program conducted by Pupil Transportation staff before commencing employment
- Child Abuse Registry Check
- Criminal Records Check
Responsibilities
- Driving school bus runs in Pictou County
- Picking up and dropping off students in the morning
- Picking up and dropping off students in the afternoon
