About The Position

Under the direction of the Skilled Trades Manager, the Casino Services Coordinator will regularly monitor and report inventory levels and availability at Odawa Casino Mackinaw, deliver requested items and staff from Odawa Casino Petoskey to Odawa Casino Mackinaw, cleans and maintains the appearance of Odawa Casino Mackinaw and the administrative buildings, public areas, restrooms, and other assigned areas, while following safety guidelines and policies and procedures to achieve Odawa Casino standards of quality.

Requirements

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in a receiving/shipping function.
  • Must have good knowledge of local area and roads, a valid Chauffeurs license from the State of Michigan and be insurable through our insurance carrier. There will be occasional out-of-town and local in-town travel required as well as frequent travel between buildings.
  • Must obtain Forklift certification within thirty (30) days of hire.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical as this position requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, stoop, extend arms overhead, push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 60 pounds, and carry weight up to twenty-five (25) pounds or more.
  • Must read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Must be able to read and understand warning labels and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
  • Must be able to work with a variety of cleaning chemicals.
  • Must be able to operate a variety of tools and equipment relative to this position.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be diplomatic, resourceful, and ethical in dealing with all people and in all situations.
  • Must be able to work well and tactful with both internal and external guests and have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work independently on a team with minimal supervision.
  • Must be flexible with shifts and days off with the ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, special events, etc., as needed.
  • You may be required to pass a skills assessment test to determine if you meet the minimum qualifications of the position.
  • Exposure to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke filled environment.
  • Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the LTBB Gaming Regulatory Commission, and be able to serve in the position under any other applicable law.

Responsibilities

  • Greet all guests and Team Members in a friendly, open manner.
  • Provide guests and fellow Team Members assistance, instruction and/or guidance.
  • Conducts oneself in a positive and professional manner, acting as a role model for all Team Members.
  • Maintain knowledge of all current and upcoming promotions and events at Odawa Casino Resort.
  • Keep a neat, clean and attractive environment at all times and abide by all health codes.
  • Ensure all public areas, including maintaining outside casino grounds of the casino are ready for operations by thoroughly cleaning, dusting, polishing, sweeping, mopping and vacuuming all surfaces.
  • Wipe down machines from top to bottom, in between machines and cleaning out ashtrays.
  • Remove trash as required and transports to proper refuse area.
  • Replenish bathroom supplies, cleans sinks, countertops, toilets, fixtures, and all other applicable restroom needs.
  • Keep beverage area stocked, including supplies and snacks, cleaned and ready for guests at all times.
  • Monitor inventory, stocks and supplies cigarette vending machines as needed. This includes filling and dropping the internal bank.
  • Regularly monitor and report inventory levels to appropriate departments.
  • Monitor and check all building systems to make sure they are operating efficiently and safely.
  • Observe areas for safety issues and potential hazards in and around the Casino contacting the Maintenance department for repairs.
  • Observe building and grounds for maintenance issues and concerns, and report to Supervisor.
  • Keep Slot Shift Manager abreast of all maintenance and security issues.
  • Perform other general tasks as assigned within the beverage, housekeeping, maintenance, and shipping and receiving scope of duties.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and organizational policies.
  • Work closely with Shipping and Receiving department to determine and provide deliveries daily to and from Odawa Casino Petoskey and Odawa Casino Mackinaw.
  • Transport and assemble Marketing materials.
  • Responsible for transporting Team Members between properties.
  • Adhere to regulatory, safety, departmental and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Attend all meetings as required.
  • Complete all required training satisfactorily.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Work at other properties as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
