About The Position

The Casino Porter helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming gaming environment for guests. The role involves cleaning the casino floor and surrounding areas, attending to slot machines, vacuuming assigned stations, handling trash and ashtrays, and following established safety and sanitation protocols when cleaning biohazard areas. The porter also maintains an organized work area and provides friendly, efficient service when assisting guests or responding to cleaning needs. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing, including reading and interpreting safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Effective listening abilities and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to multitask and remain focused in a high-traffic environment.
• Must demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism at all times.
• Flexible availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to written, oral, or diagram instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, handle cleaning tools and materials, reach, bend, stoop, lift, move objects, push, pull, twist, kneel, and balance.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and around moving equipment.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and remove wrappers, broken glass, ashtrays, and debris from the casino floor and surrounding areas.
• Clean and dust slot machines, including visible surfaces, spaces between machines, and surrounding woodwork.
• Clean biohazard areas according to established safety and sanitation protocols.
• Thoroughly vacuum assigned stations, moving chairs and objects to ensure full coverage.
• Remove trash, replace missing ashtrays, and sanitize ashtrays and trash receptacles.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area throughout each shift.
• Provide friendly, efficient service when assisting guests or responding to cleaning needs.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned and within the scope of the position.
