About The Position

The Casino Cleaning Attendant cleans casino and common areas, including slot machines and surrounding areas, restrooms, offices, public spaces, restaurants, windows, furniture, and decorative objects. The attendant vacuums carpets, sweeps and mops tile floors, cleans spills and biohazardous materials as needed, and removes trash to dumpsters. The role uses cleaning chemicals and mechanical equipment and requires providing exceptional Red Carpet Customer Service to guests. The shift is 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and the starting pay is $16.00 per hour. The position involves working in a noisy, smoke-filled environment and may require exposure to dust, chemical fumes, and airborne particles.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must present a well-groomed appearance.
• Must perform duties with a sense of urgency.
• Must be able to work as part of a team.
• Ability to use and control various mechanical equipment.
• Ability to work around dust and second-hand smoke.
• Ability to operate vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, mops, and brooms.
• Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and handle chemical fumes and airborne particles on occasion.
• Must be able to stand and work in a noisy, smoke-filled environment for up to eight hours per day.
• Must be able to walk, stand, and work on hands and knees for long periods.
• Ability to transport supplies to and from work areas.

Nice To Haves

• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean slot machines, spaces between machines, ash trays, slot bases, trash cans, restrooms, offices, public areas, windows, restaurants, countertops, furniture, decorative objects, and other casino or common areas.
• Vacuum carpets and sweep and mop tile floors.
• Clean spills and biohazardous materials as needed.
• Remove trash from containers and take it to dumpsters.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly.
• Provide exceptional Red Carpet Customer Service to guests.
• Transport supplies to and from work areas.
