About The Position

The Cashier accurately collects and reconciles revenue while providing attentive, friendly, and efficient hospitality services to guests. The role includes greeting and assisting guests, answering questions, processing payments, maintaining accurate records, and following established operating procedures. Work is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The hourly base pay range starts at $16 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
One to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic math skills, including adding and subtracting three-digit numbers, multiplying and dividing with tens and hundreds, and performing these operations using American currency.
Ability to read and write standard English and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group situations.
Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems and rates applicable to elapsed time.

Responsibilities

Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients; greet guests promptly and treat guests and associates with courtesy, respect, and dignity.
Maintain accuracy and composure under pressure, use appropriate salutations, welcome guests, and follow proper phone etiquette.
Provide directions and respond to guest inquiries, including information about facility outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and nearby attractions.
Determine guest charges and process cash, credit, or direct-billing payments; categorize tickets for auditing, reconcile revenue, and provide payment receipts.
Complete accurate and timely shift reports, follow procedures for cash banks, operate registers, gates, and credit-card machines, and obtain information about daily events and applicable rates.
Complete tasks in a timely manner as instructed by the Lead Cashier or Account Manager.
