About The Position

The Cashier is responsible for accurately processing customer transactions, maintaining front-end operations, supporting store safety and security procedures, and contributing to an organized and efficient store environment. The role supports operational excellence and helps safeguard company assets while contributing to overall store performance.

The position involves handling payments and cash drawers, verifying merchandise, supporting loss-prevention initiatives, monitoring the checkout area, assisting with returns and other store tasks, and following company safety, security, and operational standards. The Cashier collaborates with store leadership and associates to support day-to-day store operations.

Requirements

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle cash and complete financial transactions responsibly.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process cash, credit card, gift card, financing, and other payment transactions.
• Balance cash drawers and follow established cash-handling procedures.
• Verify merchandise and applicable serial numbers in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Support loss-prevention and asset-protection initiatives by adhering to operational controls.
• Monitor the front-end area and communicate safety, security, or operational concerns to store leadership.
• Assist with returns, exchanges, and transaction corrections in accordance with company policy.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and professional checkout area.
• Assist with merchandise recovery, stocking, pricing, and other operational tasks as assigned.
• Support store opening, closing, and daily operational procedures.
• Follow company safety, security, and operational standards to minimize risk and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with store leadership and associates to support day-to-day store operations.
