Full Time - Cashier - Opening
About The Position
As a Lowe’s cashier, you help customers finish their visit with a quick, friendly checkout experience and support them in getting the best value for their money. You answer questions, assist with payments and exchanges, and help ensure customers leave satisfied. Most of your time is spent at the register, though you may also help other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment and maintaining a clean, safe workstation. Occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed; regular travel is not required.
Requirements
- Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
- Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
- Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in the state.
Nice To Haves
- Retail and/or customer service experience.
- Bilingual skills.
